What is Cryogenic Gas Leak Detection?

The ThermoCable LNG Cryogenic Gas Leak Detection System is specifically designed to offer the only high sensitivity and cost effective solution for protecting any compressed gas storage tanks, equipment, and pipelines from a potentially catastrophic fire or explosion. The system consists of a nylon coated ultra-sensitive detection cable and interface module. The ThermoCable LNG Interface Module and detection cable can be easily connected to, and powered by, any fire alarm control panel or building management system.

ThermoCable LNG System Components

ThermoCable LNG detection cable is comprised of four temperature sensitive wire cores which provide data for interpretation by the Interface Module. The Interface Module processes and analyzes the ambient temperature, comparing readings, and looks for sudden changes which would indicate an LNG leak. ThermoCable LNG can detect a 75°F change in temperature in 30 seconds. Upon a change in temperature, the temperature is re-analyzed verifying the extent of the change, helping eliminate the potential of a false alarm. The Interface Module automatically adjusts for changes in day/night and seasonal ambient temperature changes making it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
